Recitals

Our recitals are one of the highlights of the year – a chance for students to share what they’ve learned, celebrate each other’s growth, and experience the joy of performing in a supportive, family-friendly setting.

Student Spotlight: EYSO, Here We Come!

We are incredibly proud of one of our own violin students, Alana, who recently auditioned and was accepted into the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Watching a student go from at-home lessons to a regionally respected youth orchestra is exactly why we do what we do.

Read more about their journey in our Student Spotlight post – and stay tuned for their performance at our next recital!

Every Fall Recital: A Scholarship Fundraiser

Music should be for everyone – not just families who can easily afford it. Our fall recitals aren’t only a chance for students to shine; they’re also a way our community comes together to support something bigger.

How the Scholarship Works:

All funds raised go directly toward removing financial barriers to music education. Specifically, the scholarship helps in two ways:

• Emergency assistance: Covering a few weeks or months of lessons when a family faces a sudden financial difficulty, so the student’s momentum isn’t lost.
• Year-round opportunity: Providing ongoing weekly lessons for children in our area whose families wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford private music instruction.

Why We Do It:

We believe in fair compensation for our traveling teachers and real access for every child who wants to learn. The scholarship bridges the gap between the two, so no one is turned away because of a temporary setback or a tight budget.

Our Current Goal:

Right now, we’re proudly covering the full cost of lessons for two students throughout the year. This fall, we’d love to raise enough to welcome a third student into that circle of support.

If you’d like to contribute or learn more, just ask – every dollar goes straight to lessons for local children.
